Logo DFG
As part of the external linkDFG's (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft) special-collections program, Goettingen is responsible for 17 special collections areas, thus assuming important functions and services in Germany for the national care of literature.

The DFG's externer Linkspecial-collections program [in German] uses a decentralized subject plan to insure that at least one copy of every scholarly relevant publication is present in Germany and thus available through inter-library loan of the original or photocopies.
