The Economics & Social Sciences Divisional Library supplies information and literature on economics and social sciences. It is open to university teachers and students as a reference library; its holdings are kept on site for you to read.

We are happy to assist you with any questions you may have about the use of the library and to assist you in finding and borrowing specialist literature from our library as well as from other libraries.

Circulation

• textbook collection (basement level on the right, marked with 'LBS' on the spine:) four-week loan with option to extend
• weekend loan option for all items (except daily newspapers, non-bound periodicals, and books from the reserve book collections): Friday 2:00 pm - Monday 12:00 noon

BBWiSo holdings can be researched in the BBWiSo catalogue. This catalogue is part of the Göttingen University Catalogue (GUK).

By public transport

From the train station

The bus lines 10 (Herberhausen), 9 (Ostviertel), and 12 (Holtenser Berg) will get you to the stop 'Auditorium'. Pass the Central Library of the Göttingen State and University Library towards the campus. Follow on to the 'Oeconomicum', Platz der Göttinger Sieben 3, on the left.

From the city centre

The bus lines 2 and 3 (Weende-Nord), 5 (Nikolausberg), 9 (Ostviertel), 10 (Herberhausen), and 14 (Bovenden) will take you from the stop 'Jüdenstrasse' to the stop 'Auditorium'. Pass the Central Library of the Göttingen State and University Library towards the campus. Follow on to the 'Oeconomicum', Platz der Göttinger Sieben 3, on the left.

On foot from the train station

Leave by the exit 'Zentrum', then turn left into Berliner Strasse. Pass the Central Library of the Göttingen State and University Library towards the campus. Follow on to the 'Oeconomicum', Platz der Göttinger Sieben 3, on the left. On foot, the library is a 10-minute walk from the train station.

By car

From Kassel

Take the A7 exit Göttingen, and drive all the way down Kasseler Landstrasse in the direction 'Stadtmitte/Hauptbahnhof'. Turn left onto Berliner Strasse and continue straight on, until you get to the junction Berliner Strasse/Weender Landstrasse.
Turn left on the junction Berliner Strasse/ Weender Landstrasse. You have reached the university pay-parking facility on Weender Landstrasse.

From Hanover

Take the A7 exit 'Göttingen-Nord' and follow the feeder road until Hannoversche Strasse, where you turn right in the direction 'Stadtmitte'.
You can now turn left on Kreuzbergring, and use the university pay-parking facilities on Weender Landstrasse (see map). The parking access is located at the start of Kreuzbergring.
Drive straight on to the junction Weender Landstrasse/Berliner Strasse, and turn left into Nikolausberger Weg; keep straight on past the library (long building) and turn left into Gosslerstrasse. Here you can use metered parking spaces (2 h) to the left of the barrier leading to the staff car park, as well as the pay-parking garage at the end of Gosslerstrasse on the right.
