SSG-CC - Project details (SonderSammelGebiete-Current-Contents)

In this project, indexes of printed journals from selected special-collections fields were chosen, scanned and digitized. OCR software was used to convert this to a text file which in turn was automatically converted into a database for the online-contents databases of the Goettingen SUB and the GBV, using a current-contents tool. The library can search in these databases, periodically check the contents of new issues of journals, and according to wish order a copy of an article to be delivered electronically to his or her place of work. The current-contents tool will be made available free of charge to other parties wish to use it.
