Finno-Ugric Languages and Literatures at the Göttingen State and University Library

Göttingen State and University Library (SUB Göttingen) has an outstanding portfolio of academically relevant literature on Finno-Ugric Studies in the four related collections Finnougristics, Finland, Hungary as well as Estonian language and literature. Once a competent special collection library the SUB Göttingen maintained these collections as special subject collections (1951-2015) on behalf of the German Research Foundation (DFG). Currently they constitute the largest collection in the field of Finno-Ugric literature in Germany.

As your initial research access point, we recommend the Göttingen University Catalogue (GUK), which lists all literature on the topic in book form (monographs) as well as printed and electronic periodicals available at the Göttingen State and University Library and at the Finno-Ugric Institute at the university. You will find the institute's holdings in our Cultural Studies Divisional Library (BBK).
