As of 1 March the central publication fund for Lower Saxony NiedersachsenOPEN has been launched. By participating in this fund, the SUB Göttingen now offers researchers at the University of Göttingen an expanded service for financing their Open Access publications.
Göttingen University Press is publishing the first issue of 2023 (Vol. 12) of the musicological journal ‘the world of music (new series)’ for the first time in full Diamond Open Access, i. e. without fees for authors. Since 1959, the international journal of cultural musicology has published research and theoretical interventions on music and dance around the world.
More than 40 participants from 14 European countries met in Göttingen for the workshop ‘Kicking into CRAFT-OA’, which took place from 21 to 23 March 2023 in the Historical Building and was organized by the University of Göttingen / Göttingen State and University Library.
On 1 January 2023, the EU project CRAFT-OA started under the leadership of the University of Göttingen / Göttingen State and University Library (SUB Göttingen) with 23 partners in 14 European countries. CRAFT-OA stands for ‘Creating a Robust Accessible Federated Technology for Open Access’.
The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is funding the Germany-wide collaborative project open-access.network for another three years with around 2.6 million euros. In the second project phase, the Göttingen State and University Library (SUB Göttingen) is again responsible for technical provision and public relations.
Seit dem 1.7.2019 können Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler der Universität Göttingen und der Universitätsmedizin Göttingen primäre Forschungsartikel und Reviews im Open Access in Subskriptionszeitschriften („Wiley OnlineOpen“) des Verlags Wiley kostenfrei publizieren.
