DigiZeitschriften II - Project details

The German Digital Journals Archive

In the context of the DFG project to retro-digitize special-subject-relevant German journals the association DigiZeitschriften e.V. was founded.

DigiZeitschriften e.V. is a non-profit association. Its goal is to make retro-digitized scientific and scholar journals available online to support academic research.

The service is divided into two sections. The Open Access area is available for everyone. The restricted area can be accessed through academic institutions or libraries which have subscribed to the service for their users.

The portal https://www.digizeitschriften.de/en has been continuously developed since 2006.

The extensive range of well-known academic journals from many humanities and science fields is constantly being expanded. Also the needs of users and the technology further evolve. Therefore, the portal is being modernized and updated with new functionalities by the Göttingen State and University Library in accordance with the specifications of the association, thus providing the user with the most comfortable search functionalities.
