SUMMARY:Publishing digital editions and corpora in the TextGrid Repository 
 (English)
DESCRIPTION:Course Content\n\nThe Text Encoding Initiative (TEI) is one of 
 the most widely used technologies in the humanities and digital humanities 
 for encoding texts and metadata. In numerous projects, not only literary te
 xts are encoded in TEI, but also other types of documents such as digital e
 ditions, linguistic research data, historical sources, etc. The Göttingen S
 tate and University Library (SUB Göttingen) is actively involved in advisin
 g and supporting researchers in these fields; amongst other things, the SUB
  Göttingen is continuing to develop the TextGrid Repository, a repository f
 or TEI- and XML-encoded documents from corpora, collections or digital edit
 ions.\n\nThe session is divided into two blocks, each with a specific objec
 tive: In the first part (10:15-11:00), the TextGrid Repository will be intr
 oduced and the import workflow briefly explained. The second part (11:00-11
 :45) offers the opportunity to briefly present your own materials (language
  of the texts, number of documents, project status, specific features) and 
 to receive personalised advice on publication and the import process. It is
  possible to attend only the first session.\n\nFurther Dates\n\nThis traini

 n\nDigital texts (editions or corpora) are important research data in many 
 disciplines within the humanities. This series offers introductions to the 
 Text Encoding Initiative (TEI), the publication of texts in the TextGrid Re
 pository, text analysis using Python, and advanced aspects of digital editi
 ons.\n\nTarget Audience\n\nThe training is open to people at all stages of 
 their careers, from students to postdocs and professors. The focus is on th
 ose in the humanities or those who work with texts as primary sources.\n\nO
