Dissertations & final theses

All members of Göttingen University may publish their thesis in electronic form on the eDiss Logo eDiss-repository of the Göttingen State and University Library.
Please observe the publication regulations of your relevant doctoral degree regulations and, in case of doubt, consult your examination office or your doctoral committee.

Every publication on the repository automatically receives a DOI and a CC license. However, it is also possible for the publishers themselves to select a license.

If you prefer to publish your thesis as a book (printed and open access, cover design, DOI and ISBN) feel free to contact our colleagues at the Göttingen University Press

Would you like to publish a qualification thesis (bachelor's, master's or state examination thesis) for which there is no publishing obligation?
Please contact the eDiss-team in advance via mail. An informal written recommendation from your supervisors is required. Habilitation theses can be published on the eDiss repository without a recommendation.

Further information can be found on the homepage of our eDiss Logo eDiss-repository.

Submission of your thesis

It is possible to submit the printed copies of your thesis by mail (please use the address of the drop-off point in the Central Library for this purpose). You can also hand in your documents directly in the Central Library at the reception desk in the entrance area or you can drop them in the mailbox at the staff entrance of the Central Library (back of the building).

See opening hours on the website of our eDiss Logo eDiss-repository.
