Introduction to Zotero
This session provides an overview of the key functions of Zotero. In our short presentation combined with interactive components, we will show how you can use Zotero 5.0 for your term papers, bachelor or master theses, dissertations, and academic publishing. You will learn how to gather and organise your sources and compile a formally correct and consistent bibliography with Zotero.
While Zotero 5.0 for Windows is used in the session, you can also download Zotero for Mac or Linux. If you wish to bring your own notebook, install Zotero 5.0 and the Zotero connector for your browser in advance. Please make sure that the plugin for your word-processing programme (Word, Libre Office etc.) has been installed successfully, since we cannot offer technical support in the course. Should you have problems with installation, please contact studIT.
An important prerequisite to successful participation in a course on managing references is basic knowledge of different publication types. Check your knowledge with this short quiz.
This course is targeted at new users or those with only basic knowledge of the programme. The language of instruction is English.
