The SUB Göttingen is taking part in Earth Hour 2025, which is why the Central Library will close at 20:00 on Saturday, 22 March. Earth Hour is a WWF campaign in which people, cities and companies around the world switch off the lights for 60 minutes at 21:30 local time to set an example for environmental and climate protection.
In addition to Earth Hour, we actively promote sustainability issues in our library throughout the year: the Sustainability Working Group (AG Nachhaltigkeit) works on various projects and initiatives to promote environmentally friendly practices and raise awareness of sustainable development among our users and employees.
