Ermöglicht wird dies durch den Vertragsabschluss im Rahmen des Projekts DEAL mit einer Laufzeit von 2019 bis 2021.

Since 10 July 2018, at the University of Göttingen - as well as at around 200 other well-known German scientific institutions - access to current full texts from Elsevier and Cell Press journals has been suspended by the publishers. At the University of Göttingen 440 Elsevier journals and another 12 titles belonging to Cell Press are affected.

Due to a merging of regional library databases, interlibrary loan is currently only available through the GBV Union Catalogue (GVK), not through the GBV Union Catalogue with Online Contents (GVK-PLUS). The Online Contents database will again be available in a few weeks.
We are working to provide you with an intuitive, intelligent search system in the near future, in which the information of online content as well as inter-library loan will be reunited.

As a member of the IIIF Consortium, Göttingen State and University Library will host the 2019 International Image Interoperability Framework Conference from 24 to 28 June 2019. This is the annual, international main meeting for IIIF, the central architecture for Göttingen State and University Library for the delivery of digital image based resources.

It supplements existing textbooks that are licensed as e-books like the Cambridge Histories Online which are also available as e-books for members of the University of Göttingen.

Springer e-books in the social sciences and law offer a comprehensive range of books on sociology, political science, media and communication studies, law, criminology and criminal justice. Göttingen State and University Library has licensed the majority of the e-books of the Wiley Online Library until 31 December 2019.
This gives you access to over 21,000 Wiley e-books, with a focus on life sciences, physics, medicine, technology and economics. In the course of the year further current titles will be added.
The e-books can be found in the Göttingen University Catalogue (GUK).
