GöDiscovery, the new discovery service of the SUB Göttingen, is the alternative to the Göttingen University Catalogue (GUK). The preset local search scope contains the holdings of the GUK, references to articles from locally available printed journals and full-text accessible articles from electronic journals and e-books, e.g. from Springer e-journals, national licences and the Directory of Open Access Journals. The search scope can be extended in the settings. The expanded search scope (including interlibrary loan) contains, in addition to the holdings of the local search scope, the holdings of the libraries of the Common Library Network (GBV), the SWB Library Network and a large number of other articles, e.g. from Elsevier e-journals, JSTOR, PubMed and preprints.

The GUK lists the holdings of the Göttingen State and University Library (SUB Göttingen) and departmental libraries of the University of Göttingen. As a rule, book or journal articles are not included.

The GBV Union Catalogue (GVK) comprises the holdings of libraries in ten German federal states as well as of the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin and further institutes. As a rule, all titles listed can be ordered via inter-library loan within Germany.

The Elektronische Zeitschriftenbibliothek EZB (Electronic Journals Library) offers fast, structured and standardized access to scientific and academic full text journals. The participating libraries offer full text access to the respective journals they subscribe to.
