Key Components of Information and Media Literacy - Project details
Enhancing students' information and media literacy
In order to be able to study in an efficient way, to train scientific skills and to have a successful start to one’s career, key competencies including the professional handling of media and information are fundamental.
As the wealth of media and information and the importance of networked work keep on increasing, Göttingen State and University Library expands its respective services in close collaboration with the Faculties and other partners on campus. The project focusses on comprehensive competencies within the whole process of scientific work, with particular emphasis on the search for information and reference management programmes.
In doing so, it uses a variety of innovative methods: term paper clinics, interactive courses with strong self-study components, coffee lectures and elearnig services such as flashcards, self-study scripts, digital learning moduls, video tutorials and online seminars.
