  • as of 2 August 2021: in the Central Library 42 long-term carrels for PhD Students and 25 short-term carrels for students
  • 24 long-term carrels in the Cultural Studies Divisional Library

  • LSG: 208 individual workstations, including 70 PC workstations, exclusively single and double workspaces with office PCs which can only be used by one person at a time. The “booking points” charged will be the same amount whether single or double rooms.
  • Central Library: approx. 180 individual workstations in the ground floor and in the first and second floor
  • LRC: 20 individual workstations
  • additionally an increased number of individual workstations in the Divisional Libraries
Group study rooms
  • Central Library: 2 bookable group study rooms - with a maximum of 4 persons per room; as of 20 July 2021 on the 1st and 2nd floor 3 learning bubbles each for up to 4 persons per bubble
  • Forestry Divisional Library: 3 group tables for max. 2 persons each, 1 group room for max. 6 persons
  • Cultural Studies Divisional Library: 5 group rooms for max. 2 persons each, 2 group rooms for max. 3 persons each
  • Physics Divisional Library: 2 group rooms for max. 3 persons each
  • Economics & Social Sciences Divisional Library: 5 group tables for max. 2 persons each
  • Waldweg Library: 1 group room for max. 2 persons, 1 group desk for max. 4 persons
  • LSG: 70 group study rooms for students and PhD students of the University of Göttingen, occupancy depending on room size (see FAQ)
