Supraregional Services

The Göttingen State and University Library is a service provider for other libraries in various contexts. Here you will find information on the other supraregional services of the SUB Göttingen.

Lower Saxony Central Catalogue

The Lower Saxony State and University Library in Göttingen handles inter-regional inter-library loan services as part of the Lower Saxony Central Catalogue (NZK). In particular, it maintains the official inter-library loan list for the state of Lower Saxony. If you are interested in being authorised for inter-regional inter-library loans, please refer to the information in the box.

The inter-library loan list for the state of Lower Saxony is incorporated into the ISIL list of all libraries. Libraries authorised for ‘interregional inter-library loans’ within the Federal Republic of Germany are marked with the notation ‘Interregional inter-library loans’ under ‘Loan type’.

Once your library has been included in the Official Inter-library Loan List, the NZK will inform the applicant library and the Network Centre of the Joint Library Network (VZG). The VZG will set up access to the online inter-library loan system.

Please notify Berlin State Library's ISIL office directly about any changes affecting your library using the form provided there.

Please note:

According to the inter-library loan regulations, online inter-library loan is the primary ordering method for inter-library loan requests. Participation in the loan slip procedure is no longer provided for.

Requirements for participating in the inter-library loan service

  • A ISIL identifier from the Berlin State Library's ISIL office
  • The library must be open to the public.
  • The library must employ qualified library staff.
  • The library must be willing to participate in inter-library loan.
