Ensuring Access To Mathematics Over Time (EATMOT): Cooperative Management of Distributed Digital Archives
The project aims to develop a prototype distributed archiving system for (mathematical) journals based on the OAIS model. The technical foundation relies on various long-term archiving systems—currently in use or under development by the partners—that can automatically exchange content via standardized metadata formats, interfaces, and management processes. This redundancy ensures that content remains accessible across different platforms and locations, even in the event of a system failure. The project involves defining suitable metadata formats and use cases in order to implement a system based on standards such as METS and OAI-PMH.
