OA-Netzwerk II
Further development and operation of the network of certified open access repositories for Germany
The goal of the "Open Access Network" (OA-Netzwerk) project is to interconnect existing DINI-certified national repositories via an overarching platform, thereby increasing the national and international visibility of German research output. This initiative is based on the premise that digital collections achieve their full impact—in terms of both visibility and usage—only when embedded in an environment that is interconnected both organizationally and technically.
Initiated by the German Initiative for Network Information (DINI), the project is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). OA-Netzwerk serves as the umbrella for a virtual project consortium that includes "OA-Statistik" and "OA-Citation," initiatives tasked with developing related services such as usage metrics and citation analyses.
