TeXDocC I

As part of the TeX-Document Center (TeXDocC) project, the Special Subject Collection Library for Pure Mathematics (SUB Göttingen) aims to build expertise in TeX and LaTeX. This will enable the short- and medium-term archiving of electronic documents in these formats—which are produced across Germany, particularly in mathematics and the theoretical natural sciences. Given the volume of documents involved, it is necessary to explore the development of automated control systems capable of interactively and automatically verifying the correctness of these text documents upon submission. These methods are to be piloted using university publications (theses and dissertations), thereby offering the library the opportunity to centrally archive and provide access to documents that have previously existed primarily in a decentralized manner on departmental computers.
