Knowledge networks in the grid
The "Knowledge Networks in the Grid" project is developing a knowledge infrastructure for D-Grid based on existing D-Grid services, using the "Environment" and "Humanities" communities as case studies.
The goal is to provide services for integrating and networking data and associated metadata resources within D-Grid. Existing data sources are structured using knowledge extraction mechanisms, linked via standardized interfaces, and described using semantic technologies. On this basis, comprehensive search functions for data, services, software, and knowledge are provided.
