Zotero
Zotero is a free, open source program for literature management and runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. You can use Zotero with the browsers Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera and Edge.

Online Course „Reference Management with Zotero” (in English)
We will show you how to use Zotero to record, organize, and cite your literature, how to edit PDFs, and how to create your bibliography.
Prerequisites: Please install Zotero + Connector for your browser before starting the course. Knowledge of literature research can be advantageous.

Meeting point: The course will take place online. You will receive the link to the virtual training room by e-mail in good time.

CiteAssist
CiteAssist is a web tool from the GippLab, developed by Lars Kaesberg. It automatically extracts metadata from scientific documents, creates BibTeX entries from it and inserts them directly into the document.
Endnote
Endnote is a fee-based reference management program that you can purchase from the GWDG at a slightly reduced price. It is also possible to purchase it via the provider's website.
Endnote also has an online version that can be used free of charge. This does not provide all of the functions of the desktop version, but is very helpful for getting started. There are tutorials on YouTube.
